What costs are involved in joining Freemasonry?

As with all organisations, annual membership fees are expected of members but are reasonably priced. Some of that fee goes to the ongoing running of the lodge and activities, while some will go to Grand Lodge to help finance Freemasonry as a whole.

Fees may vary from lodge to lodge depending on the style of lodge. For example, a lodge that values fine wine and cuisine would have larger catering costs. When first becoming a Freemason, you will pay a one off joining fee and purchase Masonic attire.

Lodge Ethos brethren wear a black Dinner Suit, a white shirt and black bow tie to regular meetings.
